Volunteering Opportunities

As you know, Anshe Emes operates solely through the tireless efforts of those individuals who donate their time and expertise. • Check & Organize Machzorim
• Minor Building Repairs (as needed)
• Kitchen Inventory (once a month)
• Buy Things at Price Club (when necessary)
• Buy Things at Staples (when necessary)
• Keep Mikvah Area Clean (once a month)
• Hospitality (when needed)
• Help Organize Women's Rosh Chodesh Shiur (once a month)
• Help Set-up & clean-up Special Events
• Assist Shul Secretary w/Organization & Update of Tape Lending Library Anshe Emes’ tape library has more than a thousand tapes. Many worn and lost ones need replacement. In addition, new ones need to be catalogued. This is a major ongoing effort that would require many man-hours and several volunteers.
• Phone Tree (when necessary)
• Emergency Childcare
• Kiddush Committee (especially during holidays or long spells without any sponsors)

• New toys for the children (any amount)
• Providing Grape Juice for Kiddush and Havdalah in Monthly Installments ($35/month)
• Providing Childcare Snacks in Monthly Installments
• Paying for Shalosh Seudas Items for any given week:  tuna, bagels, soda, chips
• Sponsoring Shiurim ($50 - 100 each)
• Rabbi Shlomo Holland’s immensely popular Michtav MiElyahu Hashkafa Shiurim
• Other visiting scholars as available.
• Sponsor Scholar-in-Residence weekend ($850)
• New Tape Copying Machine ($420)
• New Microphone System ($500)
• New pair of tefillin ($325) Always needed for visitors and guests.
• Laptop computer (Windows compatible), preferably with a CD ROM drive. ($?)

Building Fund
Anshe Emes was first constructed 52 years ago. BS"D the congregation has experienced explosive growth in the last six years, and has far outgrown the current building. A major donor is needed to secure the purchase of an adjacent or nearby site for expansion for childcare, classes and office space. A volunteer to chair a building campaign is needed.
