(Beverly Pines, mother of Eliyahu (Elliot) Pines, there will be a Parve Seuda beginning at Anshe Emes this Sunday evening (29-June), a little after Maariv — about 8:45 PM, continuing into 9:00 PM, with a Siyum on Mishnayos Brachot, Yoma, and Demai by Shlomo Pines, followed immediately with one by Eliyahu Pines on the Gemarah Masechta of Nedarim (and the Mishna of Mikvot). Benching is targeted for about 9:30 PM.

New Cell Phone Usage Law Effective July 1 (from Agudath Yisroel of California)
Starting July 1, a hands-free law requiring the use of a headset while driving will be in effect in the state of California.
For drivers under the age of 18, all cell phone use is prohibited, even with a headset; except in the case of an emergency.

Tuesday night “Shaarei Halacha” shiur w/Rav Summers – ON HIATUS THIS WEEK
Continues every Tuesday nite at 8:30after Maariv – A Shiur on Rabbi Greenwald’s halacha sefer “Sharrei Halacha” (about everyday Halacha). The shiurim are now available on the Anshe Emes web site at http://www.anshe.org/emessaries/audio/ (IY”H, the shiurim will be brought up to date by next Shabbos)
Women’s Chumash Chavrusa Group on Wednesday evenings
Dr. Rachel Freedland is giving a women’s Chumash Chavrusa group on Wednesday nights 8-9 pm. If you are interested in learning Chumash in depth and sharing it with other women, this program is for you. We will pair up and learn Chumash Shemos pasuk by pasuk with Mefarshim. A certain level of textual skills is needed. We are however open to pairing up people of different levels depending on their wants and needs. RSVP Required. Responses & Questions Welcomed. Kiddish Committee New Payment Policy
The Kiddush Committee (KC) is re-introducing its payment policy: Services are provided only after payment has been received. Unless specific arrangements are personally made with Mrs. Cohen or Mr. Jacobs, the KC will not provide a Kiddush or Shalosh Seudot unless payment is received three days before the event.
