Bullet Points for Mark Magid’s Shiur (this week Haftorah for Bechukosai)

· In 17:7, if we’re supposed to completely trust in Hashem, why make any physical effort at all?

· 17:8 seems to imply that tzaddikim prosper in this world. Doesn’t reality seem to contradict the pasuk? Why do the righteous sometimes suffer?

· In 17:10, the pasuk says that Hashem knows man’s hearts, his plans, his intentions. According to the Gemara in Pesachim, what are the seven things that are hidden from man, and why?

Next week, Sefer Yonah, followed by Megilas Esther the week after.

Shavuos Schedule (tentative) at Anshe Emes

· Between Mincha and Maariv Rabbi Dovid Landesman

· 1st shiur (midnight)- Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz (Jews for Judaism) “The New Crisis”;

· 2nd shiur - Rabbi Meir Prangler

· 3rd shiur - Rabbi Y, Summers

· 4th shiur - Rabbi Yosef Furman

· 1st Shacharis 5:05am

· 2nd Shacharis 9:00am (2nd day, only one minyan at 9:00am)
